Thank you!

For 10+ years, I have fought for what I believe in, from walking out of school for immigrant rights to lobbying Senators for workers rights. Thanks to you this former undocumented DREAMer made it on the ballot, and almost made history.

Win or lose, our Democracy depends on candidates honoring election results. Last week, I congratulated the top two candidates and wished them well.

I know you are disappointed about the results, I am too. However, I feel immense pride and gratitude for all of you who helped me build this campaign including my amazing seniors from El Sereno, LGBTQ+ leaders, teachers, and community leaders.

As Secretary Clinton once said: “I’ve had successes and l’ve had setbacks. Sometimes really painful ones. Many of you are at the beginning of your professional public and political careers. You’ll have successes and setbacks, too. This loss hurts, but please never stop believing that fighting for what’s right is worth it. It is— it is worth it.”

We didn’t lose. It just wasn’t our time.

I’m not giving up, and neither should you.
